There is something familiar in the strange and something strange in the familiar. Too often, we overlook the fleeting moments in a life we deem mundane—but life is never mundane. Every moment is precious, passing so quickly that we fail to notice the magic hidden between each unit of time. Through my paintings, I seek to hint at this magic, rekindling a childlike curiosity and passion in my viewers despite the seeming absurdity and mundanity of life.
